WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER GOSA MEMBERSHIP

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
As it is important for our members to benefit from their membership, GOSA would like to highlight the benefits and discounts that make your membership worthwhile.

A. DISCOUNTS
The annual membership fee (available on request) will ensure that you qualify for the reduced member’s tariff when registering for the following events:

  • In-person workshops
  • Symposium
  • Golf day

B. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

  • Our virtual workshops are usually free of charge, so make sure your name is on the membership list to ensure you receive an invite.
  • Members have excellent opportunities to get in touch with relevant decision makers and other role players in the grain value chain.
  • You will also be invited to attend our Annual General Meeting.

MAIN OBJECTIVES
GOSA was founded in 1983 by grain cooperatives and organisations with the main aim of serving the grain industry with relevant information and being supportive on an independent basis. Its main objectives include the following:

  • To establish a platform for the exchange of information and knowledge to the furtherance of the industry.
  • To compile, interpret and distribute information to the industry as a neutral and objective organisation.
  • To co-ordinate expertise to the advantage of the industry.
  • To promote synergy and goodwill within the industry by means of symposiums and workshops.
  • To encourage informal networking between role players in the grain value chain.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP?
Organisations and individuals residing in South Africa and who are directly or indirectly involved in the grain industry and who have an academic qualification or experience in the industry (that is acceptable to the Board) can become a voting member of the Organisation.

FINANCIAL YEAR:
Yearly from 1 July we will send out invoices for membership renewal for the financial year ending 30 June.
