SERENGETI HOSTED OUR 4TH ANNUAL GOLF DAY

GOSA’s goal of establishing valuable contacts between role players in the grain value chain triumphed once again when the 4th annual golf day was hosted on 4 September 2025. A total of 32 four-ball teams participated at Serengeti Estates Golf Course in Gauteng on the day.

The team from Greenhouse Technologies made a clean sweep and ended the day as overall winners. Congratulations to Tiaan Kotze, Divan Britz, Johan Bender and Jean Louw.


Massamatic’s team scored the second most points: Bjorn Swensen, Neil de Lange, Riaan Mastenbroek and Rian Dunn.


Rangel’s team took third place: Adrian Vermeulen, Martin Scheepers, Kobus Oosthuizen
and Divan Bruwer.


Fourth place belonged to the team from Bextrans: Oscar Schuld, Stefan Blommaert, Daniel Janse van Rensburg and Christo Hendriksz.


Rehr’s team took fifth place: Michal Rehr, CC Ferreira, Heinrich Rehr and Vernon Kantor.


The longest drives for the day were recorded by Pierre Moolman on hole 8 and
Christo Hendriksz on hole 18.


The closest to the pin players were Eddie de Bruin (hole 5), Gallie Muller (hole 9), Marco van der Westhuizen (hole 12) and Hanu Lategan (hole 15).


Klerkscale’s team had the longest day: Paul Botha, JC Louw, Werner Nel and Wentzel Vermeulen.

FIRST TIME AT SERENGETI WAS A HUGE SUCCESS

The annual GOSA golf day – which has become a highlighted event for the movers and shakers of the grain value chain – was this year held at Serengeti Golf Course in Gauteng on 29 August.

A total of 30 fourball teams entered the competition, which was played in 4 Ball Alliance (2 scores to count) format. Congratulations to one of AFGRI’s teams – consisting of Willem Peyper, Dirk Visagie, Marco Pretorius and Hardus Dupper – who were crowned winners of the day with 114 points.

The winning team for 2024, Team AFGRI: Willem Peyper, Dirk Visagie,
Marco Pretorius and Hardus Dupper.


In second place was Team RehrCo: Renier Vermaak, Vernon Kantor,
Hein Rehr and Mike Jacobs.


The third place was reeled in by Team Bextrans:
Christo Hendriksz, John-Stephen Ferreira, Neil Shraga and Danie Campher.


Team Bester Feed & Grain walked away as 4th place winners: Aubrey Nelson,
Dries van Jaarsveld, JR Smit and Rinus Bezuidenhout.


In 5th place for the competition was Team Degesch:
Eddie Engelbrecht, Neal Gurschler, Ryno Botha and Natie Kroukam.


These players were nearest to the pin: Brynard de Klerk (12th), Dieter Crafford (15th),
Michael de Zeeuw (5th) and Christo Hendriksz (6th).


The longest drive on the 7th belonged to Christiaan Rademan.


Keigan Martins showed off the longest drive on the 10th.


The best newcomer was Jacques Kruger. GOSA board member,
Marco Pretorius (right), was there to congratulate him.


Anton Siemens, Jaco Kloppers, Marius Steyn and Dylan Vlaskamp
from Team Ronin had the longest day.
