Christmas message

This time of year is special…

Every year as we enter the Christmas season, I realise that time waits for no one. Sometimes the new year is upon you before you have changed the habit of the old year’s date in your mind. Then I am grateful that I can look back in vitality and health on a year in which so many things came my way and I realise again that everything in our lives is only grace from God to be able to handle everything.

In this life it does not matter where we live and work – we are each a leader in our field. That which you allow to grow within you, you will answer and respond to when time presses you and demands squeeze you. It easily happens that we allow the growth of negative thoughts in our hearts and they then influence the course of our words and actions. This is why this time of year is so special. It forces you to take time to reflect. Question is: did I make time for happiness in my life, or was there only time for the demands of every day?

I can say with certainty that the members of GOSA with whom I had the privilege to be in contact this year spent their time well in what GOSA experienced from them. Despite full programmes and little time, each of the board members was the eloquent example of people who make time for things of value.

As said earlier, time and tide wait for no one and the GOSA Board is behind the scenes planning the Symposium for 2024. It will be presented on 18 and 19 March in the heart of the Winelands, namely Stellenbosch, with the theme, “Stability in progress”. There, delegates will have the opportunity to deepen their outlook on continued stability in a changing grain value chain. We hope to see you all in Stellenbosch.

From me and all GOSA’s board members, we wish all our members and friends of the organisation a joyous Christmas season. May you experience the peace and love of Jesus, may you receive blessings for the new year and may we all taste the success we all wish for in the coming year.
